Polson police officer pleads not guilty to sexual abuse of children charge

Matthew Timm appeared in Lake County District Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual abuse of children.

The Polson police officer facing a felony charge of child sexual abuse appeared in Lake County District Court. Matthew Timm pleaded not guilty to the sexual abuse charge. His arrest followed the discovery of explicit images of an underage girl on a flash drive in a Polson residence where he once lived.

Over 700 images of Jane Doe were found on the drive, leading to his arrest. Timm has been a part of the Polson Police Department for two years. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 21, 2023.
